Description | : The Catholic Medical Centre Imphal is a charitable institution established , owned and managed by the Arch diocese of Imphal. It was built at the initiative of Most Rev. Joseph Mittathany the then Archbishop of Imphal with the view to cater the health need of the people of Manipur, especially the rural mass. The same above mentioned society had the vision to begin a nursing college for the Manipur population. With this aim, Most. Rev. Dominic Lumon the Archbishop of Imphal approached Rev. sr. Annie Porunnolil in 2009 and requested to see the management of the college of Nursing. There after two of our sisters, Sr. Jesline and Sr. Elsa Renu were sent for further studies in Mangalore and completed their studies. These sisters began to establish the college by 16th Nov. 2011, residing at Provincial House, Imphal. The blessing of the college and hostel was on 20th October 2012 presided over by Most Rev. Dominic Lumon the Archbishop of Imphal and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Lijo, the director of the hospital and Rev. Fr. Mani the chaplain. The FCC community, Sr. Jeslin (superior and Administrator), Sr. Elsa Renu (Manager), Sr. Anice (Warden) and Sr. Merlin (mess manager)Sr. Agnes (student) started staying there at Koirengei from 14th November 2012. Rev. Sr. Aloshia the Provincial reached our sisters to the new community. The college began functioning with its academic year by 17th November 2012.
