The Jesuits fathers of Kohima Region welcomed the collaboration of FCC sisters in the mission of Evangelization and Education at Langting in North Cachar Hills, under the diocese of Diphu. The mission was started in the year 2005, on 11th June. The then bishop of Diphu Rt. Rev. John Thomas invited us to start the mission in the center.  This is a center among the Dimasa tribe of Assam. The people are fully Hindus. There are no Catholics around. The people are Happy with our education and developmental works. It is their initiative that we started the mission there.

The first members were Sr. Jilsy and Sr. Sabinah. The sisters started their stay in the school building. They teach in the school run by the fathers. During holidays they go for house visit and make known our presence in the area.
